Emergency shoring of the roof of a historic theatre
A storm left the long-span roof over the auditorium at risk of progressive collapse. We stabilised it with full shoring of modular falsework up to 12 m high, pending the permanent works.

Ground improvement under a residential building settling on expansive clays
A building of 20 homes with two basements was cracking from differential settlement of more than 8 cm. We consolidated the ground beneath the footings with reinforced cement-grout injections, without touching the existing foundations.

Diverting the sewer beneath the future tunnel of a car park in the centre of Jaén
To clear the way for the access tunnel to a car park, we renewed the street's sewer with two deep reinforced-concrete chambers, excavated within micropile walls below the water table.

Ground improvement beneath the future foundations of five industrial units
Before five industrial units were built on soft, expansive clays, we treated the ground with 299 cement-grout injections. Seismic tomography before and after recorded the improvement of the soil.

Ground consolidation beneath two occupied residential buildings
Two blocks of flats showed damage from differential settlement. We consolidated the foundation soil with cement-grout injections and measured the improvement with cross-hole tests before and after.

Crossing beneath the tram tracks by horizontal directional drilling
To take a new underground medium-voltage line to the far side of the roundabout, we crossed beneath the tram platform with a 114 m horizontal directional drilling, without opening a trench over the tracks.

Underpinning and ground improvement beneath a parish church whose foundations were not as designed
Cracks in the church and the parish house. Trial pits revealed that the piles in the 1981 design had never been built. We injected the ground beneath footings and ground beams, and confirmed the improvement with cross-hole tests.

Bringing two electricity pylons back to vertical with hydraulic jacks
Two pylons on an Endesa overhead medium-voltage line had tilted because of ground movement. We brought them back to vertical by pushing their footings with 55 t jacks against reinforced-concrete reaction beams.
